Chatterjee, Surav
Surav Chatterjee ( Sourav Chatterjee ; född 26 november 1979, Calcutta, Indien) är en indisk matematiker , specialist på sannolikhetsteorin. PhD (2005), professor vid Stanford University (sedan 2013), Fellow Institute of Mathematical Statistics (2018 [3] ).
Utexaminerad från Indian Statistical Institute med kandidatexamen (2000) och magisterexamen (2002) i statistik. 2005 tog han sin doktorsexamen i statistik från Stanford under Persi Diaconis , med sin avhandling "Concentration Inequalities with Exchangeable Pairs" [4] . Från 2005 till 2011 vid University of California i Berkeley, biträdande och docent. Under 2009-2013 docent vid New York Courant Institute. Sedan 2012 är han gästlektor, sedan 2013 är han professor i statistik och matematik vid Stanford.
Har status som permanent bosatt i USA.
