Tuska Open Air Metal Festival eller helt enkelt Tuska (översatt från finska - "smärta, lidande"; kommer från rysk längtan [1] ) är en av de största musikfestivalerna, främst tillägnad metalmusik . Festivalen hölls från 1998 till 2010 i Kaisaniemi- parken ( fin. Kaisaniemi ) i centrala Helsingfors ( Finland ), sedan 2011 har den hållits på den rymligare Suvilahti-platsen, eftersom den tidigare inte kunde ta emot alla besökare med ordentlig bekvämlighet. Öppnar vanligtvis i början eller mitten av juli varje år. För första gången hölls festivalen 1998 och för varje år blev den större och större. 2006 sålde festivalen slut och över 33 000 metalheads kom för att se 32 band uppträda. Framträdanden äger rum på tre scener: Inferno , EMP (kallad Sue till 2011) och Radio Rock (huvudscenen, fram till 2007 hette Radio City ). 2011 tillkom en fjärde klubbetapp.

Föreställningen Animals as Leaders ställdes in på grund av att bandet missade sitt plan. De har ersatts av Barren Earth . Framträdandet av Lamb of God ställdes in på grund av att bandets sångare greps i Tjeckien på grund av misstankar om att ha dödat ett fan för 2 år sedan ( https://web.archive.org/web/20120615075523/http:/ /www.tuska- festival.fi/en/?page=index ). De har ersatts av Finntroll .
Festivalen hölls från 27 till 30 juni och samlade omkring 27 tusen åskådare [2] . Bland medlemmarna finns Dimmu Borgir , Children of Bodom och Anthrax .
Antalet lyssnare som deltog i konserterna uppgick till 28 tusen personer [3] .
För första gången pågick fredags- och lördagsshower fram till midnatt.
