Portugalova, Marianna Grigorievna

Marianna Grigorievna Portugalova ( 1906  - 1977 ) - sovjetisk teaterkritiker, specialist på rysk teaters historia.

I sin ungdom var hon balettdansös vid Leningrad Theatre of Musical Comedy [1] . Från 1937  till slutet av sitt liv (med ett uppehåll 1942 - 1946  ) undervisade hon vid teateravdelningen vid Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography ; en anmärkningsvärd representant för Leningrads teaterskola [2] , "en stor specialist på den ryska teaterns historia" [3] .

Författare till läroboken "Russian Drama Theatre of the 19th century: The second half of the 19th century" (L .: Art, 1974; co-författare med S. S. Danilov , som dog 1959, vars verk Portugalova avslutade). Bland andra anmärkningsvärda verk är artikeln "Theme of Theatre in Ostrovsky 's Dramaturgy " (i samlingen Notes on the Theatre, 1958).
