Theodric (kung av Bernicia)

Theodric (död 579 ) - Kung av Bernicia (572-579) från Iding-dynastin .

Theodric, son till kung Ida , kom till makten i Bernicia efter sin bror Ethelrics död . Den växande makten hos den västra grannen - Rheged  - skrämde Theodric och han gick i krig mot detta kungarike. I slaget vid Argoyd Llywyn besegrades han fullständigt av kung Rheged Uriens styrkor . Under striden dödades Theodric i singelstrid av Owen ap Urien . Han efterträddes av sin bror Frithuwald .
