Fiedler, Fred
Fred Edward Fiedler ( eng. Fred Edward Fiedler ; 13 juli 1922 , Wien , Österrike - 8 juni 2017, Mercer Island, Washington , USA ) - amerikansk psykolog (emigrerade 1938 från Österrike), en av de ledande företrädarna för organisationspsykologi XX-talet. Han studerade problemet med ledarskap och kom, baserat på många experimentella data, till slutsatsen att olika typer av ledare krävs för olika situationer, och det finns ingen typ av ideal ledare. Han utvecklade också 1967 den så kallade Fiedler-kontingentmodellen, som visar sambandet mellan arbetarprestationer och motivation.
Fiedlers idéer hade ett definitivt inflytande på organisationspsykologin i Sovjetunionen på 1970- och 1980-talen.
