DrinkBox Studios är en oberoende videospelsutvecklare baserad i centrala Toronto , Ontario , Kanada . Företaget grundades 2008 av personer från Pseudo Interactive , efter dess stängning.
DrinkBox Studios grundades i april 2008 av Chris Harvey, Ryan McLane och Graham Smith kort efter nedläggningen av Pseudo Interactive , där de arbetade. De bestämde sig för att skapa en oberoende studio som syftar till att skapa en unik spelupplevelse.
DrinkBox Studios är en certifierad utvecklare för iOS , Nintendo DS , PlayStation 3 , PlayStation Portable , Wii , Wii U och Xbox 360 . Förutom att utveckla sina egna originalspelsprojekt har de även arbetat för uthyrning inom programmering, design och konst på ett antal projekt för Activision , Vicarious Visions , Playbrains , Bedlam Games , Electronic Arts , Bytemark Games , TransGaming , Capybara Games och Visual Sport .
De tillkännagav sitt första spel, med titeln Tales from Space: About a Blob den 11 juni 2010 [1] och släpptes för PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network den 1 februari 2011 för PlayStation Plus -prenumeranter och 8 februari 2011 för alla andra [2] . Den 23 augusti 2011 tillkännagav företaget ett andra spel med titeln Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack för release på PlayStation Vita via PlayStation Network i början av 2012 och på Windows -plattformen den 15 augusti 2012. Den 9 april 2013 släppte DrinkBox Studios Guacamelee! digitalt via PlayStation Network för PlayStation Vita och PlayStation 3 , med en Windows- släpp den 8 augusti 2013. En förbättrad utgåva släpptes för Wii U , Windows , PlayStation 4 , Xbox One och Xbox 360 i juli 2014 [3] . Studions senaste spel hittills är Severed , som släpptes den 26 april 2016 för PlayStation Vita .
