"Adam och Eva"  är en kopparstick av den tyske konstnären Albrecht Dürer .

Skapande historia

År 1504 skapade Albrecht Dürer det första verket om detta ämne - kopparstickningen "Adam och Eva". I detta verk försökte konstnären först att förkroppsliga det klassiska skönhetsidealet och försöka hitta de ideala proportionerna av en man och en kvinna. År 1507 skrev konstnären en diptyk " Adam och Eva ", ursprungligen avsedd för altaret (altaret blev aldrig färdigt).

Plot

Handlingen i gravyren är en klassisk representation av den bibliska berättelsen om Adam och Eva i Edens lustgård. Man tror att prototypen för figurerna av Adam och Eva var teckningarna från de antika statyerna av Apollo Belvedere och Venus Medicea . Konstnären lämnade en fullständig signatur på gravyren, till skillnad från hans andra gravyrer, endast märkt med ett monogram.
