Sega Mega Drive Classics , eller Sega Genesis Classics  , är en samling spel för Sega Mega Drive/Genesis -konsolen som släpptes av Sega den 1 juni 2010 på Steam för Linux- , macOS- och Windows-plattformar . Spel som stöds är uppdelade i fem "releaser" ( engelska:  Volumes ), som släpptes på fysiska medier (förutom den femte upplagan) och genom digital distribution.

Steam-versionerna av "releaserna" innehöll inte spelen i Sonic the Hedgehog och ToeJam & Earl -serien , de såldes i separata samlingar.

Sega släppte senare de första fyra "seten" (46 spel) på Sega Genesis Classic Collection: Gold Edition med fyra skivor ( Sega Mega Drive Classic Collection: Gold Edition för PAL - regioner ).

Den 28 april 2016 släppte Sega den kostnadsfria appen Sega Genesis Classics Hub/Sega Mega Drive Classics Hub , som är en virtuell miljö stiliserad som ett konsolspelsfans barnrum. Alla efterföljande återutgivningar av Sega-spel gjordes som DLC (köpta separat eller som en del av samlingar) för denna applikation. Appen stöder Steam Workshop , så användare kan skapa och dela ROM-hack för spel [2] . Alla spelare som hade separata spel som tidigare köpts på Steam fick dem som DLC för Sega Genesis Classics Hub/Sega Mega Drive Classics Hub gratis [3] .

Under 2018 släppte Sega samlingar av alla officiellt stödda (icke- Steam Workshop ) spel (med några få undantag) kallade Sega Genesis Classics/Sega Mega Drive Classics för PlayStation 4 och Xbox One . Sammanställningen använder också Sega Genesis Classics Hub/Sega Mega Drive Classics Hub- applikationen , men vid tidpunkten för utgivningen hade den ytterligare funktioner i form av prestationer och spola tillbaka spelet. Senare dök dessa funktioner upp i Steam-versionen. Dessutom, för vissa spel, kan du välja regionala utgåvor [4] . Den 6 december 2018 släpptes samlingen för Nintendo Switch [5] .
